Our story – where past and future meet in sustainability.
Our story – where past and future meet in sustainability.
Our journey began in 2001 when we turned an old farm into a new home – a place where nature, tradition, and sustainability meet. From the first vegetable garden and orchard plantings to developing a tourism offer, we've always followed one simple principle – respect for nature and local heritage.
We later expanded our offerings to Škofja Loka, where we provide comfortable studio apartments and rooms. Although the locations differ – one in the countryside, the other in an urban setting – they share the same philosophy: quality, locally crafted products, sustainability, and respect for tradition.
For us, sustainability is second nature. We grow food based on the "garden-to-table" principle, use local ingredients, dry herbs, preserve fruit, and rely on returnable glass bottles. Natural shade is provided by native trees we planted for future generations. We hold a Tourist Board Three Apple rating, but for us, it's not just about ratings – on paper, we have three apples, but in reality, we have an entire orchard 😉.
Guests are encouraged to live in harmony with nature – waste separation, use of natural resources, and sustainable travel are self-evident here. Our locations are the perfect starting points for exploring on foot or by bike. We promote public transport and sustainable travel while offering guests high-quality drinking water to refresh them on their journey.
Today, we enjoy the fruits of years of effort. Our spaces, breakfasts and way of life reflect Slovenian traditions, respect for nature, and dedication to simple values. However, as we enter a new stage of life, we are more aware than ever that everything fades – only nature remains, leaving us to ponder what is truly sustainable.
Wake up to the smell of freshly baked homemade bread, and enjoy jams and juices made from fruits picked from our own trees.
One of our special creations is the "Forever Yours " bed, which grows with the child and converts into a sofa. It symbolises love and sustainability and carries a certified home-craft label. Every detail here tells a story – from restored furniture to wooden picture frames that preserve the warmth of the past.
The harmonica and guitar come alive in rhythms that connect tradition, improvisation, and the energy of the moment.
